Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Baseline PCR Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses the Service. A violation is a material breach of the Terms.

1. Use the Service for what it is for

The Service exists to help qualified professionals prepare property condition reports. Use it for that. Do not use it to produce reports for properties you have not assessed, to produce documents that misrepresent who performed an assessment or when, or to generate professional opinions for a jurisdiction or discipline in which you are not qualified to give them.

2. Content you may not upload

• Content you do not have the right to upload, including photographs taken without the property owner's or manager's permission where permission is required, and documents subject to a confidentiality obligation you cannot satisfy.
• Health, biometric, government-identifier, financial-account or other sensitive personal data. A property condition report does not need it.
• Images of people intended to identify them. The Service excludes photographs that appear to show a person unless a reviewer deliberately includes one; do not use the Service to catalogue people.
• Malware, or content designed to exploit the Service, its providers or its AI models.
• Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringing.

3. Prohibited conduct

• Sharing an Account, or giving access to anyone who is not part of your firm's workspace.
• Accessing or attempting to access another firm's workspace or data.
• Probing, scanning or testing the Service for vulnerabilities without written permission (see Section 6 for how to report one).
• Circumventing usage limits, billing, the free-report allowance or the approval step, or issuing an unapproved draft as a final report.
• Scraping the Service, or using automated means to create accounts or jobs, except through interfaces we document for that purpose.
• Removing the "draft for review" mark from an unapproved document by any means.
• Reselling the Service or operating it as a service bureau for other firms.
• Using the Service to build or train a competing product.

4. AI-specific rules

• Do not attempt to extract our prompts, schemas, guards or model configuration, or to induce the models to ignore their instructions.
• Do not upload content whose purpose is to inject instructions into the AI pipeline.
• Do not present AI Output as a professional finding without the review the Terms require. A reviewer who approves a Report is representing that they reviewed it.
• Do not use Output to produce reports at a volume or speed that makes genuine professional review implausible. We may ask a firm to explain a review pattern that suggests approval without review, and may suspend the workspace pending a response.

5. Fair use and limits

Plans are priced for ordinary use by a firm. We may impose reasonable limits on upload sizes, photographs per job, jobs per period, AI processing per report, email sends and share links, and may throttle or suspend use that degrades the Service for others or indicates abuse. Current limits are shown in the Service where they apply.

6. Security and vulnerability reporting

If you find a vulnerability, email security@baselinepcr.com with enough detail to reproduce it. We will acknowledge within three business days and will not pursue good-faith research that stays within your own workspace, does not access other customers' data, does not degrade the Service and gives us reasonable time to fix the issue before disclosure.

7. Professional standards and licensing

You are responsible for complying with the licensing, standards-of-practice and record-keeping requirements that apply to your firm and your reviewers, and with any scope your report user requires. The Service's references to ASTM E2018-24 are an aid to that compliance, not a substitute for the standard or for professional judgment. The Service does not reproduce ASTM's text; do not upload it.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, remove or disable content, suspend or terminate access, and notify law enforcement where we believe it is warranted. We will tell you what we did and why unless doing so would compromise an investigation or violate law. Fees for Reports already approved are not refunded on suspension for violation.

9. Reporting a violation

abuse@baselinepcr.com. Include the workspace, job or link involved and what you observed.

10. Changes

We may update this AUP. Material changes are announced by email or in the Service before they take effect.
